Hello. I've been able to relax and make a lot of cards once the hustle and bustle settled down. I realized that I don't have any cards for new babies, soooooooo.
The carriage and sentiment were cut from the Simply Charmed cartridge. The carriage is cut at 2 inches, the sentiment is cut at 1 1/2 inches.
The ornate frame came from the last page of the Graphically Speaking cartridge and it was cut at 3 1/2 inches. The sqaure of background within the frame is cut at 3 inches.
I made one card on a blue background with no patterned paper except in the frame and it doesn't look nearly as nice. The choice of the right papers makes all the difference.
This was a cute and easy card to make. Hope you like it.
Happy creating.

Welcome
You are invited to share with me the Joy there is in creating Art. I mean the "I can do it" and "it's fun" and "it's beautiful" kind of art, whether it is "museum quality" or not. Here you will find some of what I like to do and, I hope, share some of your joy, too.
Welcome to my blog, Rae Ann.

Digi Darlas Fairies or Angels Challenge
Hello, again. I used this cute little fairy for this challenge. I thought she was a Digi Darla design but I couldn't verify it at the Digi Darla store (I found out she IS.) If she is from elsewhere I apologize for forgetting the source. I believe no wing is complete without diamond stickles. She looks quite pretty with her sparkling wings.
I cut the scalloped circle from the Cricut Graphically Speaking cartridge and the sentiment is from the Tinkerbell and Friends cartridge. A Martha Steward punch was used for the edges of the white paper. The flowers are from Special Moments and were another dollar store treasure find.
Before you take advantage of this nice day for flying, visit Digi Darla's Challenges.
Happy Creating.

A Funny Birthday Card
I won some stamps from Tradefish Designs and knew they would be the best sentiments for this card.
The (not-so-old) lady was cut from the Cricut My Community cartridge. Behind her, in a subtle way, is a cut of 6's from the Graphically Speaking cartridge. I wanted to suggest an age range in the 60's.
I'm entering this card in two challenges: Cooking with Cricut - Make me laugh, and Birthday Sundaes - numbers.

Numbers - Bitten by the Bug 2
The theme at Bitten by the Bug 2 is Numbers. After a lot of thought the phrase, "...let me count the ways." came to mind for Valentine's Day. I found numbers and a background for them on the Cricut Graphically Speaking cartridge. Here's the result: (the green is not part of the card; it was the background it stood against for the photo.
