Hello, again.
At a recent Papercraft Show in this area I found the clock/watches embossing folder I've been looking for. I thought it would be a great background for birthday (and other) cards.
I decided to use the Cricut Create a Friend characters.
I like to make more than one birthday card at a time, too, so I came up with these.
I think I found the balloons and gift cuts in the same cartridge.
I'm entering these in the Bitten by the Bug 2 Birthday challenge, also.
Make sure you visit the blog. Get inspired by the designers and entrants.
Thanks for looking

Welcome
You are invited to share with me the Joy there is in creating Art. I mean the "I can do it" and "it's fun" and "it's beautiful" kind of art, whether it is "museum quality" or not. Here you will find some of what I like to do and, I hope, share some of your joy, too.

A Birthday Dino Card
A friend asked me to make a birthday card for her great-nephew who is turning 1. He's big into dinosaurs.
I made the card 5 x 7 which is larger than I usually make. I used Cricut's Create a Critter for all the cuts except the candle, which came from Sweet Treats.
The theme at Bitten by the Bug 2 is Birthday so this is being entered.

Another Birthday card for Exploring Cricut and More
Hello, again. This week I've been trying out my new Cricut Happily Ever After cartridge. I thought one of the fairy godmothers and this sentiment stamp would be a perfect match.
I cut the fairies at 3 1/2 inches. The white banner came from Cricut's Small Talk and Frames cartridge. The stars were in the Cricut Create a Friend cartridge with the little ballerina.
I still have one more fairy to do, a blue one. I don't know which I like more; they're all so cute.
Inside is a simple "Happy Birthday" cut from the Cricut Create a Critter cartridge. I didn't realize I used so many different cartridges until I started this list. It's great to find the little accessories in different cut collections
Please continue to stop by Exploring Cricut and More for daily inspirations from our design team. And, join us next Monday for another challenge.

Teen Cards for Exploring Cricut and More
Welcome back. Today I have two cards I made from the Cricut Paper Doll Teen Scene cartridge; each figure was cut at 4 inches..
To put this handsome guy in context I used an idea from the All Sports cartridge to place the green 'field' on the card. Then, I found the accessories I wanted in the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge. In the Teen Scene cartridge the player is wearing his helmut. I decided to have him holding it so his face could be seen. A birthday sentiment is inside.
The pretty miss this is intended for is into fashion so I thought I'd just put a couple of things to represent that. I used the Forever Young cartridge to create the tiny purse. The sunglasses in that cartridge came out way too large so I went to Everyday Paper Dolls and found eyeglasses for one of the outfits and that worked out just fine.
Because I hadn't used a background paper the card was looking very dull - somethng missing - so I added the dashed lines around the edge and then around the squares as well. It made a big difference.
I haven't used the Teen cartridge much but it worked out very well for these cards. Thanks for stopping by to see them. Take a peak at Exploring Cricut and More each day for ideas and inspiration and join us next Monday for another challenge.

A Mermaid's Birthday Wish
Wow, this is my 3rd post for today. That's what I get for working on several things at the same time.
As I mentioned in my other post, I've been experimenting with distress markers as watercolors. That was fun to do with this mermaid from Sherri Baldy. The little Happy Birthday stamp I got at our annual stamp show here last year.
I just bought some Cottonelle toilet paper and it has this interesting texture and I wondered if it would look good as seaweed. It's not what I hoped for (the cricut couldn't cut it for one thing) and my cutting could have been better. But, I slid a distress ink pad over it and got an interesting look. I used the same thing in the shell outline. Then, I found pieces in my 'bits of flowers' stash and some pearls from my beading supplies and added them. Talk about shopping your stash - this was fun!
I'm entering this in Shopping Our Stash (They say it's your birthday) and Try it on Tuesday (It's all in the eyes) because of these big, beautiful eyes.
Please visit both blogs to see all the challenge entries.
Happy Creating.

Digi Desserts at Paper Crafting World
I won this little guy not too long ago and I love him. Inside I used a stamp that says "Birthdays were made so we would eat more cake." The 'happy Birthday' came from the cricut Create a Critter cart.
Make sure to stop by Paper Crafting World to see all the Digi Desserts entries.
I am also entering this in the Birthday Challenge at Little Scrap Pieces and the red or pink challenge at DL.ART. Make sure you visit them to see those entries, too

Bugaboo Bingo
Hello! Bugaboo Stamps is having the January Bingo challenge at the Catch the Bug Blog. I could enter in two different ways: Sentiment, Bugaboo image, and Ribbon is my first idea, but if 'You're HOW old?' isn't considered a sentiment I think I also qualify under Flower, Bugaboo image and Pink.
This little guy looks startled so I thought the question was appropriate. LOL
Check out Catch the Bug Challenge Blog to see all the entries in their January Bingo challenge.
Happy creating.
