Wow! It took me longer to get back than I thought. I had wonderful news that the there is no sign of the cancer since my surgery and I've been healing enough to get back into crafting. A good incentive was a craft show which kept me busy crafting the last few weeks.
What I would like to share here is the "prayer" tag I made after I got the good news. I was walking around praying, "Thank You, Thank You, Thank You," and I realized I had to make my prayer tangible. Here it is:
The sunburst came from Cricut Small Talk, Frames and Tags.
The cross and dove came from Cricut New Testament.
The white rose came from Cricut Flower Shop.
I'm sorry I can't remember where this 'Thank You" came from. I'll have to look it up because I like this one and will use it again. (Paper Lace 2)
Some of the curls and leaves were from my cut scraps box - leftovers from other projects.
I was very happy with this. It says and shows exactly what my prayer was about. I hope you like it.
This is my first challenge entry in over a year, in one of my favorite challenges, Fantabulous Cricut. I realized that I could also enter Shopping Our Stash where the theme is "Thanks". Make sure you visit them.
Thank you for visiting.

Welcome
You are invited to share with me the Joy there is in creating Art. I mean the "I can do it" and "it's fun" and "it's beautiful" kind of art, whether it is "museum quality" or not. Here you will find some of what I like to do and, I hope, share some of your joy, too.

A Flower Challenge at Exploring Cricut
Hello Everyone! Are you getting a taste of spring yet? To keep you in the mood for spring our challenge asks you to create a card, layout, or project that contains a flower. I created this tag.
I used Cricut Flower Shoppe to create the flowers, Picturesque to cut the tag (at 3 inches), the reinforcer for the hole and the leaves. and Cindy Loo for the swirls. The quote is from a Close to My Heart set that I bought at the recent stamping show. It's called Woman Quotes. This one is Mae West who states, "Too much of a good thing is wonderful." I think that applies to flowers.
Please join us with your project at Exploring Cricut. We look forward to seeing your creations.
Happy creating.

My Craft Spot - Flowers
I belong to a papercrafting swap group. One of the categories this month is a polka-dot card. Flowers came to mind because I'm so tired of the dreary weather. My Craft Spot has the same idea so I am entering the card in their challenge.
The flowers were all cut with cricut's Flower Shoppe cartridge. Only the center of the flower and the thinking of you tag are without dots. 'Thinking of you' is a Papertrey stamp.

Happy Creating.

Christmas Mini-Album for Multiple Challenges
Hello, everyone. I made a paper bag matchbook album based on the tutorials by Kathy Orta on You Tube. I made it for my sister who will be spending her first Christmas in her new home in Florida with her 16-month old grandson nearby.
I am entering this album in the following challenges. Click on the challenge to go to that site and see other entries.
Pile It On - Theme: embellishments. My album has glitter and ribbon and a poinsetta I made and borders and cricut cut additions ... I think this fits.
Bugaboo's Catch the Bug Challenges - A Bingo challenge. I used a flower, red/green, and ribbon.
Little Scrap Pieces - Theme: A Holiday Project.
Come and Get It Chalenges - Theme: Anything Christmas.
Cupcake Inspiration - I focused on the red, green, and white cupcake.
Please visit these sites.
Here comes a number of photos to show different views of the album.

This is the front of the album. Note the tiny string of light I put around the tree trunk.
This is the first page you see when you open the matchbook flap.
Another view of inside.
I put the album on its side to show the 6 bags, each with an insert. The front flap is the red to the right of the picture. Each section was made from a black bag bought at Michael's.
This shows one of the inserts and the tag I put on each one. I alternated red and green designs for the inserts. I placed the tags left, middle, right, left, middle, right in the 6 bags.

Autumn Colors with Thanks
Hello! I have a card that I will be entering in 4 challenges. Click on the name to see other entries.
Crafts with Cutters -- Anything, use your stash;
Go Fish -- Yellow and Orange;
Crafter's Cafe -- Thank You;
Paper Playtime -- Autumn Colors.
To make this card I used 3 Cricut cartridges: Phrases, Flower Shoppe, and Picturesque. From my stash I found papers I forgot I had, the laser cut doily, and my rhinestone bling. You can't see it but there's glitter along the top, on the center vein of the leaves, and at places along the swirls. I hope you like it; I do.
Have a great day.

Easel or Step Card at Little Miss Muffet Stamp and Release Challenge
Not long ago I was lucky enough to win blog candy from Leah Ann, The Hoosier Stamper. It was the set of 4 Petites Dames by Little Miss Muffet Stamps. I chose one for this challenge and colored it in with colored pencils, using the picture that came with them as a guide for shading. I'm very happy with my result.
I used the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge to make the roses and the Picturesque cartridge to make the flourishes. The sentiment is from Papertrey. Those are all French stamps.

Happy creating!

St. Pat's Again - Mojo Monday / Whimsical Designs
I liked the look of this sketch and immediately thought of it as another St. Patrick's Day card.
I made the rose from the Cricut Flower Shoppe cartridge and the leaf spray from the Picturesque cartridge. The image came from the 'Go Make Something" site. They have a wonderful selection of free printables. This one came from Collage Printables-Postcard Sheets. (A link to this site is on my sidebar.)
I am entering this card in:
Mojo Monday #231 - sketch
Whimsical Designs - a card with green.
Happy Creating.

Little Girl Frog - Multiple challenges
I had a lot of fun making this card.
This is a 5 x 7 easel card. The digi is one of Digi Darla's and will be entered in her challenge. Cricut cuts were used for the background hills and cattails (Everyday Paper Dolls) and the flower (my new Flower Shoppe cartridge). A little green glitter glue (say that fast) adds sparkle to an inner layer of the flower.
The flourishes are from a set I picked up on a clearance table; the dragonfly is a small decorative button (I broke the back loop off). I hand cut the lily pads and used distress inks to add finishing touches.
I am entering this card in the following challenges:
Digi Darla's Challenge Blog- Anything but snow
Little Scrap Pieces- Use green
Pile It On- Sending Happiness
Cardz TV DT Challenge #6- Anything Goes
